anoooo just found this thread (very late) and wondered about the problem from the very beginning... I, too, have all my points on bank and zero in checking... and everytime I want to buy a card I forget to put points into my checking first and then get the message I have not enough points to purchase the card... so I would think it is impossible to go into negative points O_O'
Well of course I believe you guys, I just really wondered about it... straaaaange
but good to know if it may happen to me, too sometime in the future!
Bronakopdin....
It's VERY possible to go into negative points, explained earlier in the thread. True, that if you have zero points in your checking, iShop won't let you buy a card at all. That's not the issue here.
You want a 75,000 point card. You transfer exactly 75,000 points into your checking. You buy one card.....but you get TWO of them. Then you look at your checking and see that you are -75,000. A negative number. *If you sell the 'glitch/double' card to iShop, you will only get HALF of the points back*. That's why ppl can come here for a full refund, if they choose to ask.
As for members who have lots of points in checking...they won't even know if they got a double card unless they check their inventory after purchases, or keep track of their numbers, since they obviously won't go into negative because they have enough points in the checking to cover the 'glitch/double' card.
Are we still allowed to post in this section/thread if the 'double card' issue happens again? I just wanted to ask before I started purchasing cards again. Thanks!
Off course you can.
I will still accept cards even if we have a new iShop system as long as you have duplicates cards and wants to get rid of them.
Thanks for your reply, ang. If or when it ever happens, I'll post here and give you a head's up in a short VM.
EDIT: January 12th
I felt like a buying frenzy today and gifted out 28 cards that I purchased today and not one single glitch!!! :yey: It seems like the confirmation button we have to click in this new forum is keeping it from happening!! :D
