Hi, I started having a problem with my comment (http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f295/t176314-card-display-thread-ii-p11.html#post4356989) 2 days ago and today I'm no longer able to edit the comment. I can start quick editing the comment but when I click to 'Save' or 'Go Advanced' the page starts to load and loads a long time. When the loading stops I get a white empty page only and nothing gets saved in the end. I'm left at page http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/editpost.php?do=updatepost&postid=4356989

I'm able to edit and save my other comments just fine.

I cleared my aarin related cookies once so far but it didn't help. I haven't tried deleting all my browser history because there are important things that I can't delete just yet.
I was wondering if it's a problem with my browser (Firefox) but I tried the same with Google Chrome and the problem is the same. I cannot edit and save that comment.

I'm testing it out right now...got the same problem. Not sure why, but it's not just you it seems. I'll try to edit another post to see if it's the whole thread.

*edit* I was able to edit the first post just fine...odd. I'll let aarin know about this since I'm not sure what happened.

*edit* pm'd aarin about it.

Thank you for the help!

I was thinking maybe there was something funny with the codes I was using, and that causes the problem. But then again that should only mess up the comment's content and not affect to posting/saving it.

This happened 2 days ago too but when I went back to the previous page and refreshed it my edits were somehow saved. But today it doesn't work at all no matter what I do.

Ya I got this issue as well, will forward this to Dai-kun then to check (may take some time).
Hibine, do keep us updated whether you can or cannot edit this after a few days and sorry for any inconvenience since we know that thread's posts are regularly edited by users.

Thanks again!
I copy-pasted my latest edit to Notepad just in case something funny happens to the comment so it's no problem. I don't mind the wait :-)

I tried to edit the comment yesterday and got the same empty page and nothing had happened. However, when I went to check the comment today my edit was saved after all(?)
I tested it again and saving the comment took a lot of time but it did save it. But right after I saw the comment saved I got redirected to the empty page again. So I was able to edit & save my comment today but the problem isn't completely gone.

I took a look the other day, seems like the text is too much for the database to parse. I was looking at the code and this is basically what

[[[ My Card Collection ]]]
<< Inventory (http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/afshop.php?do=ViewInventory&id=235876) >>

translates to:

[CENTER]
[[[ My Card Collection ]]]
<< Inventory (http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/afshop.php?do=ViewInventory&id=235876) >>[COLOR=#dda0dd][SIZE=5][B][SIZE=2][SIZE=1]

Imagine what the rest of the post looks like in code. There's a source mode button on the top left of the editor if you want to look. I'm not sure how you want to approach this. Best thing to do is to redo the post and apply bbcode in large blocks of text rather than using bbcode frequently.

Thanks, this explains a lot.
I'm not actually used to a text editor like this and didn't think about the amount of codes behind. The forums etc. I have used before have shown the BBCode all the time and never gave this many options to edit the text. So I kinda went overboard with the possibilities here it seems. There are other members too who that have done this and that to their comments, made them look pretty with complicated codes, so I never thought there could be problems. But I'll edit mine soon and I try keep the codes simple.

This kinda gives an answer to my other question (http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f27/t190035-character-limits.html#post4359183) too. I'm using many BBCodes for my Custom Pages as well and that's why I hit the character limit so fast.
