Can we eliminate APPEND in auctions?

Append changes BID TIME and can change a WIN to a LOSS

Could the AUCTION section be changed so it does NOT append new posts?

I was last post at xx:00 in an auction. While we were waiting for auctioneer, I posted a comment to the thread... and when it was appended to my last bid, the TIME on that post CHANGED to xx:02, after the auction was over!

You can see that this is a disaster for an end of auction bid! When a new post is appended to your last bid, it can push you from a WIN to a LOSS with the time change!

I believe I have fixed that. Let me know if it happens again and then I'll let aarin handle it if it does. I think it isn't needed in that area as I agree it would be a pain if that were to happen to me like it did to you.

Yes! I was just expecting my last auction posts to append... and they DIDN'T!!

I was so confused I posted 3 times expecting them to concatenate... but they stayed separate.
