Lets try something a little different.

After reading the first chapter...I was utterly drawn in.
This manga is what I have been waiting for, wanting. Something different then the average rinse and wash yaoi that is always on the market. Not to say that I don't like your average yaoi, but the themes do get a little old after your first 6.

To start off with, the art is the first thing that caught my eye. It's very edgy, urban, and shounen style. It really interested me to find out it was a yaoi. Since it lacked that major "fluffyness" that most yaoi's have. I really enjoy the artwork, the mangaka does a wonderful job illustrating the characters, there emotion, the setting, and well...Everything else! xD Nothing really ever feels half assed. It really draws you in and keeps you interested.

The characters...OH THE CHARACTERS.
BRILLIANT. SO. FREAKING. BRILLIANT.
They actually have some balls. (Excuse me for saying that, but most yaois have really feminism characters)
In that regard it's refreshing. There interesting, and engaging. The main characters all have painful, and difficult pasts, they each have there own baggage. I think what I like best is that there is no stereotypical submissive uke, or over the top, super well off handsome seme. There just two boys who have it rough.
I also really love the relationship between Yuki and Tesu. It's like brother love, but much deeper then that. It doesn't feel fake, forced, or superficial. It feels real, and I like how even only reading a few chapters, you can feel how deep there relationship is. It's not a sexual relationship right off the bat.

Now the plot...I love it. I have no idea where there story is going to take me! Even with 15 chapters in.
I don't want to give too much away, but it's defiantly one of the deepest yaoi's I've ever read.
One of the things I really appreciate about the manga, is how it deals with rape. Unlike other yaoi's where rape is often played out as a not a big deal or "if you didn't want to have sex, you should have tried harder to push me away" thing, this manga takes it seriously. It's something that constantly tortures (Spoilers) Yuki. The pain he feels about this is portrayed perfectly. It really touches me heart, and makes Yuki an even more believable character.

Overall, I love this manga and cannot wait for more chapters to be translated.
I highly recommend it. You'll be drawn in.

Acid Town

This story is about a young boy, Yuki, and his younger brother, Jun, who is sick and in the hospital. The setting is in a city where mobsters rule, drugs are of the norm, and stealing is a way to survive. This, of course, is why Yuki gets in trouble with a young mobster boss named Kazutaka Hyodo.
Hyodo, seeing Yuki’s determination to help his younger brother, decides to make him an offer he can’t refuse. Sound a bit too familiar? Well, it’s true. There are bits and pieces of this manga that came off a bit too clichéd for my taste, but perhaps, it will get better since it isn’t finished.
Still, the drawings were appealing and eye-catching. Each character had unique expressions that drew me in. Not only that, but the artists went so far as to stylize the characters, making their personalities stick out even more.
The characters themselves were amazing and well-thought out. Yuki was, of course, my favorite…so far anyway. I always feel his pain when he is going through some horrible experience or when the setting changes. I haven’t seen much of Hyodo yet, but I can already tell he will be a strong character with a much longer, complex background than perhaps even Yuki.
Overall, I think the manga started out a bit rocky with its opening scene because it felt too predictable and convenient, but with more character development, its plot is starting to thicken and I’m enjoying the action more. I’d recommend this manga by Kyuugou for anyone who likes a bit of a struggle, angsty-type love (I think that’s where it’s headed) with a bit of action thrown in.

After the First Chapter

After the first chapter (this is all that's out at this time), the manga has spurred my interest.

The art seems a bit rough, but very pleasant to look at. The art was one of the aspects attracting me to the manga.

The characters are interesting. It tears at my heartstrings to find that kind of brotherly devotion, but it just goes to show that the manga has depth. It's not necessarily the emotion, because you can say devotion but when read it is crap. The way the emotion is shown is very touching. I like that.

The plot is what's attracting me the most. Granted, I have a very good feeling of what's going to happen (if you've read shounen ai, it's hard to not know most endings), but I'm still interested. I'm curious what the best friend is going to do. I'm curious how they got caught stealing. I'm curious what happens during the weekly meetings. I'm curious how the main character feels about the weekly meetings. Nonetheless, the plot has roused my interest as only good mangas can. I will most definitely place this manga on my MUST UPDATE list.

For those interested, it's not just about love. As you've guessed, it has angst in it (but it doesn't seem like an overly ambitious amount). It does not have the weak uke or overly strong seme (which makes me want to trash a manga within a few pages). Nor does it have undetermined or wavering personalities (which make for average non-angsty shounen ai). Overall, it's great.

I'd recommend it to all interested.
