The first story features a young man (lovingly called "Yuu-chan") and a childhood friend (Takatoshi) whom is 5 years his junior. Takatoshi has been fond of Yuu-chan ever since they were young, and has always hung around Yuu-chan as a playmate. At 22, Takatoshi still treasures all their memories playing together as kids, yet realises that they're grown up and different, and his affection still remains strong. Yuu-chan, on the other hand, displays rather mixed feelings about these memories as he still is unable to let go of his impression of Takatoshi as a kid.
As feelings begin to develop and they begin to get closer, an old flame of Yuu-chan's emerges, called Yoichi. Yuu-chan tries to cover up their relations, but a tiny twist of fate leads Takatoshi to the truth.
How the story unfolds is rather charming, and the characters are really lovable. As for the second story in the book, the focus is on Yoichi, and how he manages to find someone who resembles a certain old love of his...
