Koutetsu Sangokushi Hot

I remember watching it the anime when I was 17 years old on veoh and I immediately grasp on that series! It has that "shonen ai" vibe, thought it ain't yaoi!

I really love it. The story is pretty well prepared but the plot is like a deja vu, like I've already seen it in other anime. All the long the series, you get that hope/feeling of if one of the characters is gonna kissed another or bla bla bla... But in my point, it is just a lot of beautiful men fighting each other off and trying to save the land.

Te characters design, ahhhhh, I really, really love it, the way it's drawn and the colors and the backgrounds, everything.

What I do like a lot it was the music. Very well produce even the intro, I have the tune in my iPod.

In the end, if you don't want to waste time and have a fake 'feeling' of them getting "to know each other better', don't watch it, but if you like anime in general and awesome stories and make yaoi scene in your head (or bed), watch it! Might be worth it!

When I came across this my first thought was: "oh great! Some medieval adventure with Eastern traits full of hot guys and eventually tons of tasty slashing!" Yes, I think like this most of the time. And usually I'm never disappointed. The only exception is Koutetsu Sangokushi.

At first, I thought the story would be interesting. You know, reader, most of BL and slashable anime stories are not very interesting. So when I read the premise of this anime I was glad. It announced an adventure full of political drama and some magic here and there. However, it all seemed half-baked, incomplete, created by an incompetent with too many ideas without any solid base. The premise was interesting, but the story telling was dreadful. Dragging such a story for 25 episodes, adding some forced encounters, rushed sollutions for random cliffhangers and a unoriginal central elements to the party, was one of the most boring - not to say horrible - experiences of anime watching.

Then I thought the character designs looked good. They look good. That's the greatest part about this anime. The characters are gorgeous. When they are still. A Flash amateur could do better than this, in terms of animation. Random utilization of CG elements that took away any beauty left to the backgrounds and horrible sloppy animation. Repeating frames all the time, trying to make awesome action scenes with a low budget and low talent... It did not work well.

Finally, I thought that the characters themselves could save it. An anime filled with beautiful man, frolicking around the whole anime, nothing can be better than this! Except, of course, when we absolutely need to have all the stereotypes for "hot" inserted randomly and without reason here and there. The development was nule for most characters and, when it existed, it was unoriginal.

Music was only memorable for being misused.

In the end, it was a terrible experience and it let my expectations and hopes for the future down. It is the anime made for the average fangirl that is happy just by seeing hot guys running in something very similar - but not quite - to a plot. Unfortunately, I'm not the average fangirl anymore.

It started out as something really exciting, but the plot just went downhill. I have to say that this anime isn't bad, I'll recommend it to people with a lot of patience, but I can never like the ending.
Also, another problem that I cannot get over with is that the characters, especially the leaders, are too girly. I have to say that is the number one thing that I hate about this anime. I mean, leaders are supposed to be wise and manly, but it is the complete opposite.
Nevertheless, the story was alright and I have to say I like the fact that I cannot judge Koumei until the very last episode, then you will understand.

Koutetsu Sangokushi is an ok anime to watch. I think it good in the beginning, but after watching a bunch of episodes it becomes boring. Nothing special happens. There are no girls! And many of the boys look like girls. Yes I know this is a Shounen-ai and not YAOI. So if you are into Shounen-ai you should try to watch this, but if not, don’t do it! It may become boring!

The characters, especially Rikuson’s character is really cute. I saw this anime just to watch him because I really liked him. (just kidding!) I liked the plot too and the other characters too you know! =)

The ending is really sad, and I’m not going to spoil it(Ohh somebody already have). I think it was a well made ending, but sad too. Out of 5 stars I give this 3.

This series starts out promising, a nice hook and a rather tradition shonen anime set up. Characters seem interesting as individuals and you can even end up really starting to love some of them. Slash is ABUNDANT (the only female character dies within the first two minutes of the first episode) and the subtext truly makes you believe that certain character will just start to bang each other any moment. But they don't. Yet you continue to watch for the plot, because, let's face it, it's pretty interesting. Until a certain point... then it gets old. Plot elements reminicent of Power Rangers start happening and everyone dies very dissapointing and invalid deaths. They aren't even redeemed. Eventually, Koutetsu Sangokushi just gets more and more pathetic until you can't watch it anymore.

TL,DL: Skip it, it's really not worth the time.
