My favorite series

I absolutely love everything about this series. The animation is so much like the manga, and the story is quite accurate. There are plenty of funny moments, as well as drama, and of course, plenty of boys loving on each other.

The couples' relationships are all very different, so it doesn't feel like watching the same two people whenever it switches from one to the other. Also, this series has one of my favorite characters of all time (Usami Akihiko), and it's extremely difficult for me to choose a favorite anything, so that's quite a feat.

This series is completely made of awesome. If I could give it more stars, I would, but I can't so I'll settle with five.

Just Pure AWESOME!

Junjou Romanitca is one of the best...no scrath that...the beat yaoi/shounan-ai anime I have ever seen!! I highly recommend to any BL lover out there!! It will surely entertain all.

First off, the plot of the whole season is amazing. I have to say it's one of the most in-depth yaois out there. The characters are well thought out and interesting (not to mention hot lol) and there's not a dull moment in an episode.

Junjou Romanitica has the perfect mixture of comedy, seriousness, romance and just pure fluff. Though it's not graphic with the sex seances I think the way they've censored it is just perfect for this anime (the manga is more graphic for anyone looking for more action hehe)

Now for the art...I think the character design and the artwork is amazing so those who are picky about artwork (and I am rather fussy) will not be disappointed. The lines are clear and there's a good amount of detail to each character.

Junjou Romantica is one of these animes that you can watch over and over again and still find the funny moments hilarious and the sad moments touching without getting bored. It's very charming and you can easily relate to the characters.

Cute and Wonderful

it is the best yaoi anime i have ever watched (not in terms of graphic sex, but in terms of a gay relationship). The story is bisically about 3 relationships and their ups and downs. It talks about how the public views a gay relationship and how it effects the gay couple. I love this anime and would recommend it for anyone that loves yaoi and shounen ai. It also has great drawings and it's very funny. It's all together one awesome anime.

Very sweet and addictive

Junjou Romantica Season One was a very nice Yaoi Anime. The character drawings are very nice, although some people might look similar, they do still look visually appealing. The music is pretty catchy I guess you could say, and even though you hear some of the songs multiple times, it doesn't get annoying, like some Animes. Also, even though it is Yaoi, it actually has a story behind it, which fits it very well, it isn't all random. All of the characters have personalities that you could probably relate too. (I'm not saying that everyone writes BL novels on the side, but...). Each episode is around half an hour, which means the first season will give you about 6 hours of Junjou Romantica. Which is a very good length~

Well. Anyways. This season of Junjou Romantica is very charming, and as soon as you finish it, you know that you are going to want to watch the next season. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy Junjou Romantica :D.

Pure and Sweet.

Junjou Romantica is probably my number one favorite yaoi anime ever, so you'll have to forgive my bias when reading this review. First of all, let's break this down into categories.

Art Style:

The art in Junjou is gorgeous. The lines are sharp and the colors are vivid. It's a yaoi anime, so of course there's no lack of good looking men to be found. There's a good amount of detail in the characters most of the time, although there is the occasional moment when chibified versions will flail about for comedic effect. There is one feature of the art style that bothers me though. There's a line that appears on the faces that...just doesn't look right. I'm not going to be specific about it because I didn't notice it myself until someone pointed it out to me. Feel free to look for it yourself, just know that once it is seen, it cannot be unseen...

Music:

The music in this anime is catchy and memorable. The opening, "Kimi=Hana" by Pigstar is a high-energy affair that really gets you pumped for the upcoming episode, and the ending, "Baby Romantica" by Script is cute, and you get too watch the adorable duckies while it plays! Another thing I like about the ending is that it gives a little bit of a recap of the best parts of the episode you just watched allowing you to reminisce about all the great stuff that just happened on-screen. During the show, the music feels really...appropriate for whatever scene you happen to be watching.

Story:

If you're looking for something hardcore, you might want go look somewhere else. On the other hand, if you happen to be looking for a touching, amusing, and thouroughly enjoyable tale (three actually) of love developing in unexpected places, then you've come to the right place. Glad to have you on board!

The story follows three couples, codenamed Junjou Romantica, Junjou Egoist, and Junjou Terrorist. Junjou Romantica is the story of Misaki Takahashi, an average college student who somehow finds himself living with the legendary novelist and boys love series author Akihiko Usama, a.k.a. Usagi-san. Junjou Egoist tells of Hiroki Kamijou, Usagi-san's childhood friend, and Nowaki Kusama, who falls in love with Hiroki at first sight and thereafter relentlessly pursues him. Junjou Terrorist is about Professor You Miyagi, and Shinobu Takatsuki, who although perhaps half his age, is determined to have Miyagi "take responsibility" for Shinobu's love for him. Some unusual situations arise from these seemingly odd pairings, but who's to complain? It makes for good watching.

Of the three, the "main" couple happens to be (my personal favorite) Junjou Romantica, as the most time is spent watching them. Less time is spent with the Egoist and Terrorist guys, but don't worry, there's still more than enough time to fall in love with them. One of the things that I like about this show is that despite having three separate narratives to develop separately, they are tied together closely. In an episode focusing on Egoist for example, Hiroki could be seen talking to his childhood friend Akihiko (Usagi-san from Romantica) or being teased by his colleague Professor Miyagi (from Terrorist). There are lots of small cameos made by the other couples and interconnections between the three stories. It actually makes for a fun way to get engaged in the show if you're paying attention. When watching this show for the first time with my sister, there were more than a couple times when one of us would shout, "Wait! Wait!! Go back! Was that Usagi-san crossing the street in the background!?" ...or something to that effect. ^.^

Overall, this is a sweet and funny anime about men falling in love with each other. What really made it stand out for me was the intensity of both the sweetness and the comedy. The developing relationships between the couples are truly touching, and the comedic moments can be genuinely hilarious. I was practically rolling on the floor laughing a lot of the time.

Final Thoughts:

Watch this show. If you don't like it, that's a little surprising maybe, but otherwise fine. My point is, give this show a chance prove itself to you. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thank you for accepting my disorganized thoughts on the matter. I apologize for writing my review in novel format, but I feel better having gotten some of my thoughts on this show off my chest.
