Shuichi Shindo is the famous lead vocalist of the rock band Bad Luck. Shuichi usually writes the lyrics for their songs, but now he's depressed because his lover Eiri Yuki (a writer/novelist) keeps ignoring him. Yuki has been known to be cold to Shuichi before, but he's blantantly ignoring Shuichi this time. It may be that Yuki's latest writing job is the reason for his recent attitude.
I think this one is alright.
I still love the Yuki and Shuichi pairing and I have to admit it is rather funny in a stupid way.
The songs are good, though.
I love Sakuma's character because he didn't change much.
Shuichi will always be Shuichi, which is great cuz we all love Shuichi.
Yuki was a bit different though, I don't know how, but I just got the feeling he isn't the same as the one in the series.
Overall, it is good and it is funny, but you must watch the series before watching the OVA.
I think this anime was good, but not as good as the other version.
This one have only two episodes and the plot is shortened down of course.
I didn't really catch all of it.
If I hadn't read the plot I wouldn't have undersood that much.
The characters are ok, not as cute as in the other Gravitation.
The opening songs are ok though.
I give this anime four stars, and sorry for my bad english
Lyrics of Love doesn't exactly live up to the series it spawns from. Starts off fine and only gets more interesting as Shuichi and Eri's relationship begins to fracture. (spoilers from here on) The second episode however pretty much lays all that to waste with it's rediculous climax proving that the "Shuichi-goes-to-concert-feeling-depressed-but-spots-Eri-in-crowd-and-becomes-extatic" plotline doesn't have the same effect when it's being used for the third time. This isn't helped by the fact that Shuichi now seems to have the magical ability to spot Eri amongst a massive sea of people, or that he can somehow make up the rest of his half finished song on the spot because "Eri helped him." I can put up with some over-the-top story instances to a point, but LoL (haha) very quickly transcends over-the-top and hits 'dumb' without looking back.
Though I can't help but wonder whether this review will actually deter anyone if I mention the bondage scene...
