I had watched the OVA first about a year or so ago and I believe that this is really, really, sick.
Later on, I played the game.
Again, like many people have said, if you're into the yaoi that has love and fun stuff, I wouldn't recommend this at all.
The game is full of rape and sex, and when you actually play the game and get every possible ending, the anime will seem really different. Not to say that the anime isn't full of rape and sex. :]
The OVA did not do a good job in interpreting the game; they had mashed everything together and then gave you I guess what people could say the ending with Lusca. Though I guess it's reasonable since I doubt they'd make an anime for every ending... but hey, I think that would be nice.
The sex scenes in the anime aren't that great compared to the game, but hey, it didn't stop me from watching it.
Overall, I would say you should play the game as well to make sure your judgment isn't clouded from the anime. Just make sure you're totally fine with rape, screaming, torture, blood, and some sad scenes.

The first time I started watching it, I hated it and said to myself: "This is sick". I only saw the first minutes. Well, then I gave it another opportunity.
It resulted to be a "nice" story, but I think it would be better to play the game first... I haven't played it yet.
It was good, but I didn't enjoyed it so much. I personally don't like hardcore raping without any feelings and with a lot of different people raping the guy. For me, that's not hot.
But well, I think some people may enjoy this...

Hummm, where should I begin.
The story was good, I have to say they actually have an interesting plot.
I can not stand the fact that Guy doesn't have a fixed partner.
I'm those kind of people who thinks that one partner is enough, so this anime had a bit of bad impression to me.
Also, the sex scenes were super hot and definitely hardcore.
However, the art was superb and definitely a lot of emotions going on.
It is a good anime, I will recommend it for those who have a strong heart.

Oh, 'Enzai'... Where do I begin?
To those who are weak of heart and love adorable, fluffy, consensual sex... this yaoi is not for you. This yaoi is hard, abusive, and full of non-con goodness. So, if you gagged on the sweetness of Boku no Pico or Junjou Romantica, you might enjoy these two little OVAs.
'Enzai' is based off of the video game of the same name and, due to the OVA's sadly short run, much is missed as far as the story line goes. In the game you play as Guys, a young boy who was falsely convicted of murder and is sent to prison. The choices you make throughout the game will determine three things: whether or not you are released from prison, whether you live or die, and who Guys will end up with romantically (if anyone). There is a total of 10 endings in the game and a possible 5 men that Guys could form a relationship with (not including Durer, which is considered a 'bad' ending). All of this being said, the 'Enzai' OVA focuses a lot on Guys getting raped in perverse ways by secondary characters and skips over a fundamental part of both the game and what many yaoi fans love: the forging of a romantic relationship.
SPOILER ALERT!!
The OVA ends with something of a WTF moment when Guys is all of the sudden tacked together with Lusca and everyone is freed from prison. Because so much time was focused on showing the rape scenes and trying to explain complex facts and character motivations, any part of the Lusca/Guys relationship that made you gush during the game is sadly absent in the OVA. Don't get me wrong, the sex scenes were fun and kinky but, at that point I'm surprised they didn't just kill off Guys like in some of the endings of the game. At that point, why bother to imply a relationship with nothing to back it up?
END SPOILER!!
Another con to this OVA was both the drawing style and the censorship. Yes, I know that genitalia is censored in Japan, but there is nothing more aggravating to me then seeing pixels everywhere. If I wanted to see pixels, I'd play something on my NES. Mind you, the drawing style and the production quality of the 'Enzai' OVA is extremely sloppy, and at times I think I might be happy to not be able to see a poorly drawn penis. One more complaint I have is the excessive use of this 'shiny, sparkly gush of semen' shot that is shown during every orgasm in the show (except for maybe one).
However, some GOOD points lie in some small points and details. The music in the OVA is the exact same music as in the game, so people who have played the visual novel will feel right at home in the headphones. Also, it ties up a couple of loose ends regarding Guildias. This type of clarification was nice to see, but didn't really make up for the rest of the anime.
Overall, this OVA is not a good interpretation the game, and I don't recommend that you view it as such. By no means should this OVA keep you from playing the game! But, if the story interested you and you'd like to know it in its entirety (as well as see all of the other sex scenes, endings, and see how all of the relationships play out), please play the game! Not to mention that the English version is uncensored! (Don't worry, all of the original Japanese voices are still intact) Overall, I give this a 3, because it was still entertaining the first time I watched it (which was before playing the game). My ideal scenario for this anime is that it be redone, with a higher production quality and animators that can actually draw, and create one of those interactive DVDs. Yes, it would be basically the game again, but you would be able to see all of the best scenes in movement. Hey, if Bible Black (another visual novel made into an anime) can get a decent-looking anime with more than two episodes, why can't 'Enzai'?

While it is one of my favorite yaoi games, watching the OVA wasn't nearly half as good as the game. The plot is rushed, and it doesn't seem like there was a lot of effort put into the animation (then again, I don't know about those things, so I guess I should just shut up xD).
Guys is supposed to be 18 (if my memory doesn't fail), but he seems to be underage here. I enjoy yaoi, but I'm not really into shota, so watching it was a little disturbing. I finished it anyway because I liked the game.
SO YEAH!!! Play the game! I don't really recommend watching this before playing the game. :)
