The sequel to Zetsuai 1989, Bronze continues the edgy romance and unstable lives of Koji Nanjo and Izumi Takuto. A few years have passed and Izumi is still with Koji. Despite all the past hardships and fights the two seem to be starting an intimate, albeit volatile relationship. Koji, still desperate for Izumi’s love, reacts badly after an announcement that Izumi will leave for a weeklong trip to further his soccer career. Panic-stricken that he will lose the fragile connection he has just begun to develop with Izumi, Koji races to stop Izumi from leaving only to get in an accident. Now with Koji in a coma, the second part of this uneasy but fierce romance focuses more on how Izumi feels. Will he leave to reach his soccer dream or will he stay and finally return the love that threatens to burn his very soul?

All right I guess I have to say something cause I CANT STAND seeing no comments. Okay first of this is a pretty good anime it is very deep and into true love etc. There are several parts that just make you want to cry, and yes there are some sex scenes. The drawing is kinda weak though the heads are a bit too triangular. All in all though it is a very serious anime I give it a 3 out of 5.

The Bronze continues from where Zetsuai left off. It's still full of angst and the desperate, unconditional love that Kouji has for Izumi. Here, you can see how much Kouji really loves Izumi and how Izumi is afraid of reciprocating that love. The most beautiful scene for me was when Kouji wrote "I love you" on Izumi's hand when he lost his voice.

The ending was quite open and give the viewer free reign to imagine what happens to them; though I'd like to think that they ended up happy.

Well, the first OVA was good, and so was the second. It was very dramatic too, liked the story. it ended in a way that kinda left you thinking what really WOULD happen, if it continued. the only thing that was on the down side was the animation. The characters were all too skinny/tall and their faces were too pointy! It kind of was a little distracting! But It has a pretty good story. i'll give it that much.

My main complaint with this one is the art style. The characters have exceedingly long limbs that make them look rather odd while being too angular. Other than that its very sweet and filled with lots of angst. If you've seen Zetsuai then you should expect that somebody is going to get hurt. While the angst borders on being overdone it doesn't quite tip over. One can't help but sympathize with the characters and on many occasions I couldn't help but sniffling a bit. The story really does pull at your heart strings after seeing how much the characters go through. It's a beautiful story and the plot is really well executed. While I've heard people complain about how dramatic this is, I still say it deserves a watch. It's a good meld of love and the struggles, misunderstandings and misfortunes that is endured in any relationship (although I don't think any normal relationship goes through that much) heheh.
