I remember when I discovered this serie I was eager to know the mangaka who created that popular classic called Kizuna. I haven't read Kizuna yet and I was actually waiting for my order to come. My wish for this mangaka is that she get more of her new work to be known because since Kizuna she matured beautifully in her artwork as well as in her storytelling. Don't let the title get to you (if you don't like it), you'll be surprised and won't regret it. My only warning is that it might challenge you on your way of seeing relationships.

Very cute and refreshing story with good laughs! I always jump on the new release as soon as it's out! The plot is quite the ordinary thing if you ask me but you just fall in love with the characters and the cute twists in the storytelling!!Truly an enjoyable read.

I was not a big fan of oneshots. I discovered this one on a dull, boring day and it illuminated my whole evening. Since then, I enjoy re-reading it from time to time.

This story also opened my eyes and heart to oneshots. While neverending yaoi series are enjoyable, do oneshots cut short on the pleasurable reading experience ? No. Quite the contrary. The impact provoked by their end echoes endlessly in the reader's heart, thus the need to even repeat the experience.

If there is something that amazes me with this mangaka it's the art. On top of that this manga is in color so WOW!!!

The plot might turn in interesting but I should warn you : the story's pace is slow. It's the downside of having such beautiful art I guess. You can't draw as fast and chapters are short and slow (so far, after meaning 2 chapters). I expect this story to be lenghty in terms of chapters also because there's nothing much to say about the plot so far. However, I like the idea even if its not a new one.

I feel bad rating this manga because it is such a wonderful work. I personnally don't like the art because being a visual person I don't like when all the characters look alike. However, the style suits the story as you're forced to concentrate on the expressions and the plot.

This is truly a piece of art, as it expresses so many concerns with so few. When I was reading it, Desire from Honami-sensei and Kazumi-sensei came to my mind. However, to me this work is more heartbreaking, I suspect, due to the pacing of the story. When I review, I often express the concern to have realistic masculine behaviour instead of "women in men bodies". You have that realism here and it's painful.

While you've guessed that this isn't for everyone at just any time, I can tell you that if you're in the mood you won't regret it.

I plan to nickname this one "the Attack by the Fits of Laughter" 'cause it was so funny.

Honestly this one came as a real surprise to me. I purposedly went by and never touched it before because wimpy ukes isn't my cup of tea (yes, that much).

This actually became my favorite comedy in the yaoi genre, one of my fav funny manga and my fav from Sakuragi so far (if you should know that's above Calorie and Renai Kyouhei, although they're all excellent).

I recommend this to everyone. Laughter guaranteed!

This is my favorite manga.

I never read volume 1 (so far) but I've read volumes 2 to 5 and seen the OVAs so my review is based on that. It goes up to vol.11 so far and Be Beautiful just came out with the vol.6 this summer.

When I say some manga is not typical, I usually think about this one. The couple is not the usual fixed-4-ever-roles of seme and uke. Wait, can I even use such terms here ? THEY ARE JUST TWO GROWN MEN THAT LOVE EACH OTHER. This is the reason why very early in my exploration of the yaoi world I couldn't stand :

1. Wimpy ukes
2. Laughable censorship like invisible penises and so on
3. Simplistic plots only there to support hard yaoi sex scenes

I've been spoiled by Nitta-sensei's outstanding work!!!

Now, two paths lay before you : either you read it and you'll be like me - very critical since then - or you read it after you've seen a few other works. You might think that I'm exagerating or belittling the others outstanding mangaka out there, but I am not. I truly respect every one of them because they have the patience, courage and creativity to come out with such work. However, the fact is that from what i've read so far (before and after Embracing Love), very few manga give so much freedom on how to picture the love between the two.

...I'm gonna stop here, because I could go on 4-ever. Although this manga could be a great subject for an essay, this is just a review. I suggest that everyone read this manga. I strongly advise to read up to vol.4 before putting it down (if you can afterwards of course...).

While reading this manga I couldn't help but to compare it with the popular Rin! from the autor of Only the Ring Finger Knows and Yukine Honami. Both stories are about archery anyway so its only normal that such a comparison arise. I find this manga very sweet even though the plot lacks originality. The art is good, although I remember finding it hard to believe Mochizuki Haru was older than his students. He sort of gives the aura of the easygoing uke and its my least fav type of uke.

So basically its a very sweet but typical story.

How should I start this review? This is certainly not you're typical yaoi manga. Taking from imaru's review I would say that this manga is more like a novel or short story. The art is simply stunning. I'll stop my comments here because I don't want to spoil anything, but this is definetely a great read...hard yaoi fan or not.

This is the 2nd work from Sakuragi-sensei that I've read and I've come to the same conclusion : she does have a special touch...

and I think I fell in love with it.

Now for a non partial analysis :

I appreciate this manga for its realism. High schoolers do love competition and experiences. Moreover, I like the way Sakuragi-sensei make it so insightful without being "girlish" (since we're talking about teenage boys, might as well be looking like it right?). The art is not my fav, as always, but the practicability of it is to die for (clean, straigthforward and distintive). Sakuagi-sensei style is very sweet and touching with cute twists here and there in the plot. Definetely a good read.
