Beautiful and haunting
Wow. This is the first manga I’ve read with a blind man, pirates, assassins and lovers all in the same story.
Canale is a very complex and endearing character, the kind that stirs up all sorts of emotions ranging from compassion and love to frustration and anger. His story is interesting because he is in a way both victim and perpetrator and is plagued by guilt and desire.
The two other men who revolve around Canale, Ayace and Sesaam Sama, make the whole plot quite convoluted and spicy. There are definitely some hot and steamy moments in this manga.
I might be reading to much into this but I really like the fact that Canale is blind. It seems to symbolize the vulnerability and internal struggle that he faces as well as a way to survive by shutting out the outside world. Although he sometimes might seem like a fragile character I think he is actually a strong character going through a lot of grief.
This manga really stood out to me when I read it and it’s definitely a unique one. I would readily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a story about tortured emotions and forgiveness.
