Warning Regarding Various Host Sites

Admins/Mods please don't deleat this. Or if its in the worng place jsut move it. I feel this is impotant and have to share it.

The is a waring for all uploaders/downloaders. Please try to advoid uploading/downlaoding to host sites that advertise porn. Example: TurboUplaod,Megarotica,Upfile ect. I had just rectantly donwloaded something from TurboUplaod and get infected with the Spycrush virus. The is the nwet vbirus yet. And its a nasty SOB. I have the most resent Spywears,adware,Firewall,virus proction on my computer and Spycrush ate right through it. It alwaso infects you computer's regitstry. Witch is not good. Ihave tried to back up my files onto DVD but couldn't cause it will say E(witch is my DVD drive) falure and the Spycrush logo will pop-up causing everyting I am doind at the moment to shutdown. It also has a nasty little habbit of freezing your computer. So I am going to take it into shop and see what they could do. Hopefuly I won't loose all my wnderful Yaoi.

Please keep in mind that this is just a friendly little warning. I am not telling you cannot upload/downlaod from such host sites just be careful doing so.

How you know that you have the Spycrush virus you will see a ltttle blue shield with a "?" inside it that flashes with a read "X". It will be right next to the clock.

Haven't downloaded with those mentioned host sites for AGES but O______O thanks a lot for the warning. Really. Virus ish scawy! TT^TT I'll certainly be careful when downloading from those site (or avoid them in the first place). *reps you*

I would like to add that I recently checked some of my upload links to either sendspace or filefactory (wish I could remember which one!!). All I did was click on the old link to see if the file was still alive... and I got infected with massive ad-ware, trojans, etc. I wasn't even d/l-ing anything; just checking the links.

Yeah, I´ve made not so nice experiences with Sendspace and Turboupload too. They tried to constantly install something on my pc and so far my firewall has resisted but it has often caused my laptop to crash and I had to restart it.

Still I got some stupid adware virus somewhere on my pc because I always encounter poker ads now that I go to certain host sites (Megaupload, Sendspace, some others) but so far I was too lazy to remove it. Yet it´s very annoying.

Weird, I download and upload all the time with several different hosting services and the only ones that I ever had trouble with were up-file and a few not so well-known services. Never had a problem with sendspace, megaupload or filefactory.

Me neither but my PC was infected by a Trojan virus once when I was trying to download from TurboUpload. >_<

Scary stuff with all your experiences with the file host. Although Linux isn't invincible, it does help that it's not affected by these sites.

Thanks YFG! ^____^. I have stopped using Turboupload ages ago since they tend to install virus in my computer. though luckily my anti-virus did manage to detect it during scanning. Havent been using Megarotic and Up-file
