Kyou Kara Maou! Oresama Quest (Problem: freeze + close)

Hello.
I have seen many guides for how to install this game, which I have done with Daemon Tools Lite. My problem is that after I installed the game and try to play it, it frequently freezes and closes out and I get this message:

This tends to happen when I try to quick save or after the opening movie finishes playing. (In other words it is impossible for me to get past the opening movie without the game closing out.)

I have Windows Vista.
I've tried changing the .exe file's compatibility, updating my DirectX, and so on and it still does this. I already changed my computer's locale to Japanese and have the Japanese language files installed.
Please help!

I've been having the same problem... since this message was written a few months ago, have you been able to solve the problem, or just gave up on the game?

I have the same problem as well. I think the problem lies in that we're using window vista (I'm assuming.) because I used window vista and the same thing happened. I can't get past the video opening.
But when I installed it in my brother's XP version, it gets past without problem. Everything went smoothly.
So, I still hav no idea what to do with my vista, I gave up on it as well and play on my bro's laptop.

I posted it in another thread quite a long time ago, but I see that some of you still have problems with this game. I installed thiis patch and the game works in 100%.
