Lamento Help

Hi. I downloaded Lamento from here a while ago, played it, and left it for a while.
Several days ago I felt like replaying the game again, so I started it up but I get an error saying "Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID-.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.".
I redownloaded all the files, patched it(twice), installed and uninstalled... I tried everything, but I still get the same error.
The language isn't a problem because I already have that set on Japanese.

If anyone knows anything about fixing this, please tell me!
I use Daemon Tool, and other games work fine... Except for Togainu, which I also played a little while ago.

I got the same prob while installing today....I've managed to get mine work alreadying...here's what you have to do....hopefully after this it will work....*^^*

1. after installing the game, run the two patches that are avaliable in the folder, LmtDVDVer101 and LmtDVDVer102.
2. once this is done....go to Lamento's official website for the lastest patch for the game.
3. click on SUPPORT
4. scroll down, and u'll see a box that says キラル製品サポート最新情報
5. click on the link in the box that says 「Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID-DVD初回版｣Vista対応アップデートファイル公開　(07.9.7)
6. once that page is loaded, click on the link that says ※Vista対応アップデートファイル(HTTP・自己解凍 17.4MB）
7. download and run the patch
8. mount boot.iso on the first drive (usually device 0)
9. mount LAMENTO_DVD.iso on the second drive (device 1)
10. click on the game...it should work now~! *^^*

Hm, on a similar note, has anyone had problems not being able to get ANY (including the newest one) patches to run? All that happens for me is I click on the file and I get an automatic error. o_o;

Are you using Vista? If yes, right-click on the patch and select "Run as administrator." See if that works.

Well I never managed to get it to work on Vista even when trying it on Vista Ultimate on Dad's computer and changing the entire thing to Japanese. I don't know why it still has issues but it does. The text never fully shows up as Japanese. But I managed to get my old laptop (that I thought was dead) to work that has XP on it and got the game to work on there. So thanks to those who tried to help me!
