I can't play games fullscreen in vista (solved)

I have a new notebook with vista home basic and all my games come up in the middle of the screen instead of full screen now. When I choose full screen at the game options, it still come up the middle of the screen with the black background. I also tried press Alt+Enter, changed the resolution, but still no effects. Does anyone know how to fix this so i can play my games in full screen mode?

Ahm may I ask what games you are trying to play?? cause for some its a driver issue

others have simpler fixes...

Kichiku Megane, Maid Hajimemashita, Clover no kuni no Alice, Jinginaki Otome. I tried them all cannot full screen

Oh, my notebook is Toshiba Portege M800-A312.

Ok, first step - apply the latest patches - http://bl.canadia.info/patches/

Then if that fails (Vista is a nightmare so.. my advice is try to downgrade back to XP) as most of BL games are really not compatible with vista, try using Vista's run on older OP (XP should do it

Really? Playing games full screen can't be done on Vista?

!! I am getting my laptop soon and it will have Vista! I want to play the games full-screen

Ok, another solution is when you have the game running press Alt+Enter. That should make a where the game goes to full screen.

Donna: yes Vista has a lot of compatibility issues with games and most of the older ones (even Neverwinter night 1) will not play in Vista

Yep, I suggest that too

its not a memory or hard drive hog that is Vista.
