hunks workshop just plain refusing to install

with the arrival of the english patch, i thought i'd finally check this game out. but when i tried to run the installer, it gave me an error message and then just...closed.

i've seen people having problems with this game on newer computers anyway, but at least they seemed to have gotten it installed. did i just get a bad download? i tried using compatibility mode too and nothing.

if anyone can help, i'd be really happy! <3

If possible, screen shot the problem when it happens, screenshot your downloaded files and tell us where you downloaded it, what is your OS, and make sure you are installing with your System Locale at Japanese.

An error occured while starting the installer.
The file might be broken.


Error details: Can't open the file (blahblah Setup.exe)




There is a work-around for this, but you don't need to install it at all!


The English Patch available is the full game already. Just download that, and run it as-is.

Ah yes, I just tried Hunk's workshop english version (that is downloaded from Tlwiki).

I tested it on Windows 10 build 1511 (that is before the anniversary update) and it works.

Though you may notice that there are black boxes on characters. That's a known issue. Just read the readme file included with the english patched game.
