After a long while trying to update things on my computer, finally I was able to install this game.

It runs smoothly at first. But when I played it for a while, suddenly it froze at some point. I've tried to restart the computer for times, but I don't know why anytime I tried to replay, it still froze at the exact same moment T.T

I've updated the patch also and follow all the instructions needed to install a VN.

I hope someone can help me T.T

I have a feeling it might be the opening video, in which case you just need a Codec update (possibly)...

Gosh, for some reasons when I reinstalled the game, it suddenly runs smoothly if I didn't apply the updated patch. Weird...

I don't suppose you'd be able to get a larger screenshot of the error message? ^^; It's a bit small, so I can't read it properly...

But, in the mean time... Would you mind posting a screenshot of the folder where you installed Kamisama?

Also, what steps did you take to install it? Did you make sure to use the update patch?

Yeah, I asked again just in case you did anything different between the first times or not. XP;; Hehe, you never know.

Anywho, the error message (I've seen this before, now that I think about it), says that a Fatal Error has occurred, on line 66292 in the code. And that either a String, Label or a Variable that is needed wasn't found. (I'm guessing it's that @asumis3 thing...)

This entirely has to do with the patch NOT being used. X_x;;; The patch also was supposed to fix some errant settings errors (Text speed, if you slide it to slow, it's actually fast, and vice versa) as well as adding some dependencies (DLL), and updating the EXE.

So I think we need to go back to the drawing board, and try to fix your initial problem with the game freezing... ^^;;;

Try re-applying the patch, and then reload your saved game at that point (Or a point slightly earlier if that doesn't work) and see if you can get passed that bad part.

For reference, here's my installation of Kamisama, with the patch applied, in C:\Games\easy-peasy\kamisama1\

This game's system requirements do state that the game can be played in Windows XP, so it should, theoretically, work.
