DMMD english patch does not work

Can someone help me ... I have to play with it a problem DMMD in English.


I have the english patch instaled as it says in the manual ... I have switched my pc on Japanese ... namely in the menu become the English game but the text in the game is still in japanese ...

Hi Tsubaki94! ^_^

You say the Menu system is in English? Are you 100% sure? The Japanese version of the game has English in it's menu system as well. The only page that would be the most obvious would be the Options menu. Take a look at that screen. If the English image patch has been properly applied, the Options menu would be in English, otherwise it will be in Japanese.

Either way... Browse to the folder where DMMd was installed, and set the folder view so you can see the file sizes like this:


The files in red, are the ones that should be in the same folder on your computer. Make sure the file sizes are the same.

The game text is stored in "nss.npa", and the English translation is part of "nss-patch.npa"

Got it!! The game can load "patches" (or hot fixes) by loading a file by adding the text "-patch" to the end of filenames.

The catch is the files have to be named identically for it to work. (EX: filename.ext, filename-patch.ext)

With the issue you're having, for some reason, the file for text in the game was renamed "nss (2).npa" while the patch has the original filename of "nss-patch.npa".

These files should match, so rename "nss (2).npa" to "nss.npa" and the game will work.
