DMMD: Everlasting black screen

So I've spent the better part of a day or so trying to get DRAMAtical Murder working, and the furthest I've gotten is running the crack, having my screen taking up by a dark screen which then smoothly transitions into white, and then back into black. This black screen doesn't show any change, and I honestly have no idea why. And believe me, I've left this on while I slept, which was about 6 hours or so. No change.
I've installed the update and crack, changed my system locale to Japanese, and mounted the .iso file on Daemon Tools Lite.

I'm not really sure why it's doing it, and it's incredibly frustrating.

Will I just have to save up and buy the game? Not that I mind, supporting the developers and all. ;w;
