Burning anime to DVDs

A while ago I burned some anime episodes to an empty DVD disc.
It started playing well, but then it started to stop frequently and then after a while it continues and it repeats that again a lot.
Is there something I can do to avoid this?

Btw the anime were in avi format and I used Nero.

It seems to me that your driver needs to be cleaned.

Well, it might be but the thing is I burn movies and they work just fine :/

cany you play the avi's from the dvd on you computer?

Sometimes it runs smoother if you copy paste the episode on your hard disc from the DVD since sometimes it takes quite some energy to play those things on one end

I have it with USB sticks, when on it it plays buggy, it stops and skips or the visuals lag behind

Try to copy/paste one of those files and play it from your hard disc, if it plays well then your puter (like many others) cannot handle a direct video file stream that is played from a DVD

dont ask me why it happens, I've seen it happen too many times during video project presentations and only when a disc has files burned as data DVD not if you have a menu etc. like an official DVD

if the file doesn't play well on your harddisc then your burner needs some cleaning, but if you can burn audio CD's just fine even with this happening then I doubt it is dirty

Or it could just be that Nero never burned the files to the DVD properly. XDDD

I use it all the time and it makes mistakes sometimes. Sometimes it'll give you an error message when something has gone wrong and sometimes it doesn't and you won't know about it until you try to play the DVD.

I recommend getting a new DVD and trying to burn the files again.

Then at the very least you'll learn if the problem is Nero, the DVD or if it is a problem with your PC. :3

It's all about formats...what your player read and what your burned stuff is

i burn at least 6 hrs of video per day the trick to keep using my DVD-RW is "ConvertXtoDvd" it is the only one that has really worked for me so that would be my recommendation ...that program is awesome even takes the subs or improve burning with two passes i wub it . I cant thank enough the person that introduced me to it almost a year ago ..no more blockbuster nor flixter for me ...i could marry it hahah

i used to use convertxtodvd as well, back in the day. it really does work great, very simple to use as well.

I do burn a lot of DVDs since my 1.2 TB is full... I use Nero and sometimes, an episode is either corrupted or impossible to copy or such things. Sometimes, I can still read it, sometimes not. When that happens, I redownload the file that is bugued if I rewatch it.
There's no such thing as "perfect". I'm fine with a few errors occasionally. It's still nothing compared to the amount of DVDs!
