Can't 1.2 patch Silver Chaos

So I downloaded the pack that includes patch 1.2 and the translation patch, unpacked the 1.2 patch and clicked "setup" (not the dial-up one), and what do I get? "The parameter is incorrect". Huh? I've tried downloading again, uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck. The game itself runs just fine, but I want the english patch (since a lot of the text is in hiragana and not kanji, AGTH slaughters the dialog. This game is no Togainu no Chi, in a lot of ways...)

Suggestions?

is the setup.exe in the same folder as silver chaos?

im having the same problem tho i cant read the errorthingy (but it sounds identical to my problem)

Yes, the setup.exe is the same folder as the game, as instructed by the,er, instructions.

Hi.. not sure if ur problem was the same as mine (I had an error appear too). But I solved mine by re-downloading a new patch from one of the other links. I then reinstalled the SC game. unzipped and setup the patch in the same folder as my original SC game (the vividcolour one). It shld work then w/o the error box popping up. Good Luck!
