How do I disable those big smilies (onion heads)?

You can disable the big onion head smilies in your user control panel (settings).

On the left column, under My Account, select General Settings.

Under Thread Display Options, select yes for the below:

    Disable Onion Head Smilies?:
    • No
    • Yes

Do you want to disable onion head smilies from showing up in posts, blogs, etc?

When you type your message, you need to select the smileys. You do this by clicking on the "More" button at the bottom of the smileys display

I never knew that they were "onion heads" :o They're so cute and lovely I love them
Just wondering, is it just me or it seems like they change position each time I click on the "more" button??
Cause each time I try looking for the same smiley, I have to re-go through them since I can't seem to locate it :o

Thanks for the info by the way!

It seems like that. If you're already familiarized with those emoticons, you can just type them. Like this:
    : nani : (without any spaces) =
You can see the emoticons' names below each image.

To use a smiley/emoticon when you type a message/reply, there are some smilies on the right of the reply window. You can click on them if you want to use one of them. Or click on "More" to choose other smilies. Once you click on "More", a new window opens up-> you can scroll down and see all the available smilies. Click on any smiley that you want and it will be inserted in your message.

Or do you mean you don't know how to de-activate them? If you want to de-activate them, you can follow Dai-kun's instructions in the first post.

I apologize if I have misunderstood. Let me know if you want more help. Good luck!
