I have a question. I would like to interview people for some college classes that i am taking. The questionnaire would be a Word document that they would download probably from mediafire. It would be completely anonymous and all the questions are optional. I would like to put a link about it in my signature and i think it will follow the rules but i spend almost all of my time here on aarin in the fiction section and i dont always post that often. I was wondering if i would be allowed to make a thread about my interview somewhere else on the forum. I can keep the link in my signature. If i am allowed to what section would i put it in?

ps if i cant make a thread about it can i at leaset pm all of my friends and ask them if they would do it or would that be spamming them and be against the rules?

As what Miko said above, and most questionnaires/interviews can be done in this forum if it is for academic purposes. The best will be asking the forum staff for permission first through PM, provide short info on what you need and how you conduct it.

Would it be considered advertising if one were to announce translation project in the works, linking to more information about it hosted on another site? Say for instance, I had launched a translation project (and I have) that people here may be interested in (as it is a BL game), and wanted to inform people about its status (as well as to see if anyone would be interested in offering their assistance).

That is fine... as long as it's your own translation or own work.

Well, technically it's not my translation, but I am sort of the manager and main editor of the project.
