Just a suggestion:

It would be nice to have a gender icon near the username like those:



Obviously it should be a user choice, and who don't want to show it could be able to hide it.

BTW I don't know if this is really doable since during the subscription the gender wasn't asked.

What do you think?

I wouldn't mind either way. Doesn't really matter to me. My username gives my gender away. I have that feature on another forum I'm on and I guess it's good if people want to hide it.

Oops, I forgot to use the search function . I'm really sorry. I never know that was active and disenabled in the past for such problems neither. Feel free to delete the whole thread.

@bella: I was meaning hide the whole thing, don't show the gender icons of anyone, not hide your gender ^^.

I've seen many people actually display their genders with Aarin pride.

If you look at people's signatures, sometimes you can see that they have 'aarinboy' or 'aaringirl' in them. That's why I did it as well. Just a thought.

Somehow I would say that I do really need this, but the fact that I also don't like to show my gender toward people -- so I don't know if it suppose to be needed or not.

Since gender options had been used to fooling around ,it would be even worthless to be created - and in the end it only make people more confused >.<

But also, I keep mistaken people's gender thousand times so I guess I have to bear for this ^^"

I notice that they are social groups like Aarin Guy & Aarin Girls but -- there will always be people who want to keep their gender remained unknown - since I notice gender in Aarin is sort of privacy due some "reasons".

But the easiest way perhaps, ask them or check the Voting Both "What's you gender"

In all honesty ... I don't really see the point. if it caused trouble then it's beter off. I don't really care about the gender of my friends, in fact for a lot of them I do not even know and could not care less because it's not like it's gonna change anything to know or not.

Why would it matter ?
