Doujinshi subsection in the Yaoi Mania board

I wanted to make this suggestion for some time now.
I don't know if there are many people interested in it but I thought it's worth a try.

Can we have a doujinshi subsection in the Yaoi Mania >> Manga Haven section?
We already have a novel subsection so maybe a doujinshi subsection would be nice too.
I personally don't read original yaoi manga, I only read doujinshi. The only threads i posted in this section were mainly general doujinshi threads. But since they are very general there rarely comes up a good discussion. Doujin threads also get lost a bit between all the original yaoi threads.
Seeing how yaoi doujins (not the original doujins ofc), are like a whole different world compared to original yaoi mangas I thought it might be good to have an extra section for it.
I know many people collect doujins by certain artists and series and seeing how the majority of the people here has not original signature pics but fanart it seems to me that it might be a good idea.

i love dj's sooo much! so fangirling about them in a certain thread would be fantastic... <333

but the problem with dj's is that there are so many titles per creator in 1 single series or a lot of creators for 1 series.. oh well i hope someone gets my point lol..XD
and maybe the fact that a lot arent technically official? i dunno..XD

I think this is a great idea! It would be nice to have a section to be able to talk about doujinshi for our favorite fandoms. It would be nice if there were threads for the different fandoms I follow so that I could maybe find recommendations on good doujinshi out there that I haven't read yet.

I'd be all for it, I just don't understand how the threads would be made. Would be for a specific doujinka, or circle, or even a thread about a specific fandom? What about pairings? Or would there be a thread for every doujinshi? Or just make whatever for what's applicable? xD

i haven't really thought about specific subsection, since the Novel section also has no subsections.
if the doujin section gets approved by aarin,
do we need them?
maybe we could try without and in case the douinshi section gets really popular and is flooded with threads we could think about subsections at that point.

if we need them we could maybe make a general area and subsections for 'artists' or and 'fandoms'. because many doujinka make several fandoms, so when we have only fandoms as subsections i would worry about where to put a general thread about a certain circle or such.


example threads ( to give an idea)
general area:
"how many doujins do you own?"
"where do you buy your doujins?"
"Comiket 80"

subsections:
artists/circles:
"Rock'n'Dolless"
"is inumog inugata summit's other pename?"
"nalis website acess problem"

fandoms:
"khr doujins"
"what is your favourite naruto doujin?"
"are there any kuragehime doujins?"

hm..maybe like that..dunno..just an idea.
well..maybe we don't need them. or someone has other ideas.

-Circles
o Fandoms
-Artists (those not in a circle).
o Fandoms

(Circles and lone artists being separate. It'll be a lot less messy.)

That way it's a bit organized and if you really want to be organized, add in the pairings that they do for those who wish to ask or find or talk about a certain pair.
