Fiction Posts Suggestion

As a writer, I find the new Fiction section very organized and helpful - except for one thing: when I update a story, it doesn't show up as a newly-posted-at thread in the New Posts section. This limits exposure to potential readers. I write for myself but I really do want to know what others think of my work. Despite the many perks of the new Fiction section, I really miss how a new post in the Fiction thread would show up in the New Posts. Is it possible, with the new Fiction section, to do this?

If this doesn't make sense, please let me know so I can clarify..or try to.

So what say you??

I agree that this would be a very nice feature

In the meantime, you could just comment to your own fic, saying something like, "Next chapter is up!" or some such thing! At least that would bump it xD

@Artemis Moonsong: You have a point - and trust me I've done this several times, shamelessly so - but it doesn't always work out and I don't want to be double or triple posting. Also, this only brings the fiction to the forefront of the Fiction section.

Sorry, I wouldn't be able to do it since I'm not familiar with how the coding in that section is. The fiction section is an add-on 3rd party software so the variables it uses are different.

However, with the new forum version 4.0, I will see how I can implement it to show up on the new CMS page.

As for letting people know when you updated, you have to reply to your fiction I suppose. Since people edit their fiction a lot and it would keep causing it to bump even if it's not really an update.

And I see. Ah, that's a shame..but as for forum version 4.0, I'm assuming that this is going to be available in the near future? As in it's still under works? Hopefully something can be worked out with said version.
