Thanks in One Stop Shop and Contest Forum

Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to make light of reps for work done. I usually rep my artist when I have an order. I thought the thanks would be a great way to supplement the rep feature, and give shop owners/contest sponsors the option to "thank" participants. There are some shops I stalk just admiring the work, and if the art is lovely it would be nice to "thank" the creator, for their effort.

There are threads in the manga haven section, like 'Manga Recommendations' or 'Help finding a manga/mangaka', it will be useful to have a thank button and let people thank those who helped without having to post a reply with 'thanks for your help'. That tends to look spammish, even though it's a sign of courtesy.

Thanks in the One Shop Stop and Contest Section would be absolutely wonderful! Maybe more people will thank others for contests, gifts, etc. if we had a thanks button in those places!

I voted for both sections.

I regularly rep the creators of contests that I’ve spent my time enjoying—that wouldn’t be a feature that I would stop using, as a result of ‘Thanks’ becoming available. Rather, as a contest host, it would be something that I would love to be able to use to thank people who make contributions and submissions for my contests. For the One Stop Shop, I think it only makes sense to be able to thank people who compliment your work.

I'm in two minds about the contest/one-stop-shop threads On the one hand it would be good to have a thanks button to encourage more thanking from those who don't do it already and it would be very helpful for the thread starters but as others have said, I wouldn't want the thanks button to completely replace usual repping and have them lose out on rep...

I guess overall I'm for the idea...and just hope that people will view a thanks button as an alternative to the rep button and not a complete replacement ^^;;

It will be great to have a thanks button ^_____^ I usually do rep them after a game or when I get some graphics, but there's times where I reach my rep limit and can be a hassle. Also, usually, after repping someone for a contest, I usually post another message thanking them for the game and points, though, like someone mention before, that can be quite spammish, and if there's just a thank button, it will probably be more.. organised?
