black hole in the gallery?

is it just my imagination, or do pics in the gallery keep disappearing?
afew weeks ago i first noticed most of my gallery subscribtions been gone or whatever - no harm done, subscribed again
but doing so, i checked some galleries i hadnt visited for a while, noticing some of them nearly empty
e.g. the Meine Liebe had had about 50 entries, when i checked it, there were just 2 left
and today i went to the gakuen heaven galleries (both: anime and game) and its just the same: just 20 pics or formerly ~200 left

normaly i wouldnt complain about pics being removed every now and then, there are some many double uploads in the gallery and i toally understand that one have to pick out pics to prevent the gallery from "overflowing"

but said gakuen heaven gallery contained a pic (i uploaded) that was the most popular pic in the entire gallery with dozens of approving comments and now its just... gone

i really dont intend/want to accuse anybody of deliberately removing my pic (so sorry for complaining here like spoilt hussy ), i just doubt im the only one being 'affected' by this.
so maybe its been just an acciedent or the doing of some despicable hackers, attacking the forum again
i just want to understand what happened

Hm, I haven't been deleting pictures lately, there has been a few duplicates I picked off in the approving process.....

I think you're referring to when Aarinfantasy and everyone decided to "go green" and delete extra things. In this process, Aarin deleted a bunch of old images in the gallery, all the ones uploaded before 2008.

Alot of my own gallery uploads were deleted as well (my views and comments gone too). But it's how it is, you'll simply have to reupload them again.

Hello rou and everyone else, I am sorry to say at that moment I don't have a choice but to delete very old images.
Please take note I am now constantly deleting 850 days old pics... because we keep getting bigger and bigger.
The more bigger we get, the more space and cost to hold them... so I seek everyone's understanding on this. Sorry if it's all gone... I know a lot of you wanted them to stay but there was no other choice especially during that time the entire server just went down with errors due to overload.
