Not receiving notifications
I was explaining to xxCyril (http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/members/xxcyril/) about mentions and how we get notifications when we are mentioned but for some reason we both aren't getting a notification when we mention each other. I did receive notifications a few days ago about other people mentioning me and I haven't turned the option off, and neither has him.

This is him mentioning me link
(http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f142/t166713-boys-vs-girls-lxxi-p13.html#post3991675)And this is me mentioning him link

(http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f142/t166713-boys-vs-girls-lxxi-p13.html#post3991700)I also didn't receive a notification when someone else mentioned me a couple of days ago but I shrugged it off at the time.
Thanks in advance :)

there is a glitch with mentions

also, mentions will not work if the ; is missing

and I've noticed that posts that have the mention edited in, will not show up either

also, posts that have a lot of mentions may not always work either

I don't think that the ; is neccesary given that this mention (http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/f28/t160577-best-couple-non-yaoi-p5.html#post3988630)gave me a notification? :?
But if you say there's a glitch I suppose there's nothing I can do. Thanks for the repply!

Using ; should be necessary for auto mention. I am thinking maybe the example you shown us is that the person entered the profile link of a user into the name. If this is the case (without the ; typed ) then it will not be shown on our Mention/Quote or notification.

Actually if you look at the post, it does say [ mention]...so the mention was used. I believe it doesn't use the ; when you use the mention button. I have seen it work with and without the ; But it seems to have moments where it just doesn't want to work fully (meaning it doesn't want to notify the user that they received one). The odd time I'll get a notice about it days later.

I have also had the mention work if I edited the post to add the mention and if I've had lots of mentions in the same post.

Ooh okay, I forgot to check out the [ mention ] in the Source Mode instead of the Editor Mode. From what you said, it's not 100% working as it should be.
