editing of VMs

not working

Hi, I tried several times now to edit VMs but it doesn't work. Instead, the whole VM gets messed up and part of what I wrote even get deleted. Please fix this, it's killing me :shi:

Only the part showing in the little space on the VM screen is saved and all the text gets messed up

Hm.. that's weird. Try remove that <33 only and see if that fixes it?

Yep, if I try to edit a VM without going into advance mode I lose all my line breaks. Really annoying. :(

Can you show me an example of a vm that's giving you problem? I can't seem to duplicate it from my vm's.

No Dai, sorry. It has nothing to do with the '<33'
It happens all the time, even if I don't go to 'Go Advanced'

ok, I get it now, I removed again the '<33' and the '<' and all the original text shows again.
But the line breaks are still lost :(

OK, this could be a problem with the text editor that you're using. Right now you have Standard editor in your settings. Try to pick enchanced editor and see if that fixes the problem completely. If it does then that means there's something buggy with the Standard editor interface which needs to be reported to vB as it's a software bug.

I have now the Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing and it works perfectly fine. Even the line breaks are there.

I had switched from WYSIWYG because when you try to edit a post in that, it suddenly scrolls up and you can't see where your post is anymore (have scroll around the screen to find where your post is after hitting edit button). So I guess the choice is either deal with that bug or deal with losing line breaks when you use the Standard editor.

I'm not really getting along with that enhanced edit interface, but as Alexia said, I guess I'll have to get used to it.

Regarding the VMs, this is what happens when I open other people's profiles by right-clicking their names in my profile or their avvys. I have had this problem since the forum upgraded and it was manageable but its becoming a little difficult now.

The place where I'm supposed to write my message isnt there and I have to reload the page again. This happens when I open profiles consecutively and it's random. Some would be okay, but nearly half wont be. Thank you for any help

I cannot reproduce this, I suggest you open up another bug report.

Post important information such as browser used and the exact steps you did to receive that result.
